Mr. Daniel Bellow provided the Houston Association of Realtors Houston with some encouraging news October 21, 2010 at the Omni Hotel.  He said the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area (Houston MSA) consists of 10 counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Waller has a population of 5,867,489 with 2,508,000 jobs. Robo-signers impact on Foreclosures should be small in Texas

The government has stated that major lenders are using improper procedures to seize properties. The mortgage servicing arms of the country’s major banks are freezing millions of foreclosures. The improper procedure they are talking about is “robo-signers.” These are people who sign documents stating they have personally reviewed the facts of the foreclosure case. What agent remarks can tell you about a listing

When making a decision which homes to preview, keep in mind the key words written in the listing.   The clues are all there, words such as fixer upper, needs a little tender loving care, tear-down etc.  Messages from the selling agent state the home is not eligible for FHA financing or cash only, an investor special.    An investor special is like the ad for a dog in the newspaper which states the dog is not suitable for children.  What the ad really tells you is that the dog bit the owner.  An investor special … [Read more...]
