Highland Village
In the 1940’s Highland Village was a shooting range for the Buffalo Gun Club. In February 1948 developer S.N. Adams carved Highland Village out of the A T. Morse subdivision. Many of the original homes were built by University of Texas ex Jack Perry. The homes located on Suffolk behind the railroad tracks originally were rent homes. Jersey Village is a small city of 3.5 square miles located in northwest Houston. They have a 6 person police department, mayor, city council and fire department.
