Highland Village

Highland Village is a premier innerloop neighborhood located south of Westheimer between the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks, Drexel, and West Main.   This Houston Real Estate is surrounded by Highland Village Shopping Center with it’s boutique shops, fine dining, and a Farmer’s Market open on the week-ends.  Residents can send their children to the Houston Independent School Disricit’s best schools or nearby private schools.

Highland Village still has many of the original one-story homes built in the late 1940’s.  In the last 5 years Highland Village has seen large custom homes build by Partners in Building, David Weekley Homes, Classic Homes, Domicile Custom Homebuilders and Weaver Builders.

Highland Village is very family oriented.  The streets seem like a passing parade as kids on bikes and trikes, families pushing baby carriages, owners walking their dogs and joggers pass by the homes.  Neighbors watch out for each other and the homeowners association is very friendly.

The city of Houston recently spent $3,000,000 repaving all of the streets in Highland Village.  The streets were also lowered for better drainage.
