CampLogan was an army training camp in World War I. Memorial Park now occupies the primary area of the camp. The neighborhood bearing this name is located just to the east of Memorial Park inside the innerloop. The boundaries of CampLogan are Memorial Park to the north, Haskell to the west, Arnot St. to the South and Westcott to the East.
Residents can easily walk over to the heavily forested park and enjoy tennis, golf, baseball, jogging and walking the nature trails. The convenient location to downtown Houston has made this a desired location for professionals. The redevelopment of the Washington street area gives neighbors many choices of where to eat and shop. CampLogan with its tall trees and gently rolling hills is certainly one of Houston’s most beautiful areas.
Today many of the original Ranch style homes are gone, replaced with three story town homes, and patio homes. Memorial elementary school still sits at the front of the subdivision. The school is liked by residents because of its small enrollment. The area is ecliptic with the many different styles of town homes built by builders such as Hartford Homes, Jetail Croix, Juliet, Reuther Homes, Harris Holley Norfolk, Jetall Homes, Swiss Builders, HHN, David Sanders, Dunn Development, Novatecture, Mapleridge, Jewels Inc., Grant Development, PerryHomes, Millennium, Camp Logan Homes and Sitterle Homes.
These new homes are priced from $390,000 to $697,000. They vary in square footage from 2,004 to 3,809 square feet. The original homes sell from $250,000 to $525,000 depending upon size and location. Buyers can expect to find some of the best views in Houston with nature at your door step.
